January 2016 and i’ve kicked off the new year with a trip to the island of Oahu in Hawaii. I haven’t really planned anything much at all just meet up with friends and play it by ear from there with the odd beach and icon to check out. Being flexible in my view is not only part of the fun but also leaves open some room for you to add in last minute ventures. Having said that i couldn’t have had a more jam packed adventure in Hawaii. Right from arrival to departure every bit of my time was taken up with some sort of activity. Hence why i suggest when you go overseas to make the most of your time no matter where you go, get up early if you have to and do as much as you can when you can, you won’t regret it, instead you’ll look back and cherish those moments and experiences the ones which money cannot buy. I loved Oahu especially the generosity of the local grassroots people who welcomed me like Ohana (family), such a loving spirited people which i will no doubt revisit again in the near future.
